ABOUT US

CHARLIE ROAD

CHARLIE ROAD brings together two lifelong passions of our Creative Director, Lee-Ann Jackson: curating luxury fragrance and all things equine.
The ethos is simple: to craft quality luxurious home fragrance and body products using unique scents, natural ingredients, and sustainable practices. From equine inspired fragrance names to sumptuous products that are designed to look as good as the smell, everything we do is designed to celebrate the horse and bring a touch of luxury to everyday rituals.
But CHARLIE ROAD is more than just fragrance—it’s a brand with purpose. We proudly support equine welfare charities across New Zealand, including the NZ Horse Ambulance Trust, Kaimanawa Heritage Horses, and Horse Helping Humans Taranaki. We also contribute to fundraising campaigns, Pony Club events, and riders who share our passion for horse welfare.

Our brand is built on storytelling, purpose, and giving back. From our seasonal HONOUR Candle Collection that celebrates equine athletes, to our Signature Collection where each fragrance is named after iconic equine places around the world.

When looking for brand inspiration, Lee-Ann could not look past her strong personal history in equestrian sports. Lee-Ann has been a horse lover her whole life and as a former competitive equestrian and apprentice jockey she knows all too well the dedication given by horses to the world of equestrian sports.
CHARLIE ROAD is named after her beloved retired racehorse, Sir Charles Road (aka Charlie). After travelling with Charlie during his racing campaign in Australia, Lee-Ann fell in love with his quirky charm and asked his owners if Charlie could retire to her care. She found the perfect farm in the Wairarapa, and her beautiful retired racehorses Sir Charles Road and Mister Mosey now live just outside her back door—spoiled with treats and love every five minutes.
