Classic Moët is one of the most prolific Eventing mares in history with a huge number of accolades to her name, not least her 2018 Badminton victory. During her long-standing career, Classic Moët, ridden by New Zealand equestrian rider Jonelle Price, collected 2,020 British Eventing points and has 10 five-star completions, one Olympic Games and one World Equestrian Games under her belt.

Classic Moët, known around the stables as ‘Molly’, regularly competed for the biggest prizes including 3 Badminton and Burghley starts. Jonelle and Molly also competed in the 5*s at Kentucky and Luhmuhlen and twice donned the silver fern for World Championships.

Classic Moët won the hearts of fans with her feisty personality and rapid running over the most testing cross-country courses. She was an absolute star of cross country in horrendous conditions, earning the moniker ‘the fastest event horse on the planet’. Her mission in life was to do everything at warp speed.

Remembered as the First Lady of the NZ turf, the racing career of Desert Gold was brilliant. She was the first NZ thoroughbred to chalk up a record of 19 consecutive wins in both NZ and AUS.

Desert Gold’s career spanned from 1914 to 1920, during the dark days of WWI her courage lifted the hearts of her racing public. She brought people to the track to forget their worries — and to see a Queen of the Turf.

In her last start as a two-year-old, Desert Gold won the Hawke's Bay Stakes, this began an amazing sequence of 19 successive wins. As a three-year-old, Desert
Gold won 14 races, including the Hawke's Bay Guineas, New Zealand Derby and Oaks, Great Northern Derby, Oaks, and St. Leger.

When the First World War ended Desert Gold had a magnificent record of 59 starts for 36 wins, 13 seconds & 4 thirds, she retired in 1920 and went on to become a
broodmare, producing a lineage of winners. She was inducted into the New Zealand racing Hall of Fame in 2008 and has a race named in her honour, the
Desert Gold Stakes.

 Lyell Creek was one of the greatest trotter produced in Australasia who deservedly earnt his nickname

of “Creek the Freak”.

Lyell Creek had 113 starts for 56 wins, including an Australasian record of 15 Group One wins. The gelding earnt some impressive honours throughout his career including ANZ Grand Circuit Trotting Champion (three times), NZ Trotter of Year (twice), NZ Aged (5yo+) H&G Trotter of Year (three times), NZ Harness Horse of Year, Australian Trotter of Year (twice), and NZ and Australian stake earning Trotter of Year (twice).

A notable achievement of Lyell Creek was that he won 34 of his 37 starts before his extensive Northern Hemisphere campaign. Well-travelled, Lyell Creek raced
in seven different countries over a period of eight seasons (1998 - 2005), he won $2,950,224 in stake money, which is an Australasian record for a trotter.

In 2014 Lyell Creek was Inducted into NZ Trotting Hall of Fame and he has a lounge named after him at Alexandra Park - Lyell Creek Lounge.

Valegro is the dressage wonder horse ridden by British equestrian Charlotte Dujardin. Known around the stable as Blueberry, he wowed the world, winning title after title and setting new records in all three grand prix tests.

Valegro’s many successes include individual and team gold at the 2012 Olympics; individual gold at the 2016 Olympics; double individual gold medals at both the 2013 and 2015 European Championships; and individual gold at the World Equestrian Games in 2014. At Olympia 2014, he beat his own world record to achieve the highest-ever recorded grand prix freestyle dressage score: 93.4%.

In an emotional retirement ceremony Valegro produced an outstanding performance of his London 2012 freestyle to a packed house, proving that he was bowing out at the very top of his game.

Although he has now retired from competition, Blueberry remains in work and continues to entertain his fans with special appearances. He has also been immortalised in bronze in the nearby town of Newent.
